2 weeks until Ironman Lanzarote!

So its been nearly 2 months since my last post, mainly because its been mega busy in the life of Cozza. I have been away for a week working with mellow jersey again, my clinic in the Cotswolds has been busy, plus taking part in local running races and also moving back to the parents house. What a crazy few months it has been, some upsetting times and some amazing times.

I really do believe in fate and if it's meant to be it will be, so many things happen for a reason.

With this in mind I felt like it was time to move on with my life and focus on saving money and getting to Kona, you only live once and I am determined to be the best I can with racing and see how far I can go.

I recently felt a little down due to people I know and who I thought of as friends had decided to comment on how I am trying to get to Kona in October by using crowd funding. It's hurt me to think people who I supported in the past and really looked up to have decided to say they think I am wrong to use crowd funding to get me there. Ok, yes perhaps I should try and get a 2nd job to help fund myself or get a loan or something. I have already tried both and they don't work, I never had time to train and I can't get a loan, so what else was there for me to do. Perhaps I shouldn't go, perhaps I should do what I did before and give up my place. Surely everyone should get a chance to reach their dream though......

Thankfully I also have some amazing friends who have been very supportive, so am going to move forward and try to forget about what has happened and enjoy my road to Kona.

My next event is a local sprint triathlon ran by Total Promotions,

I wanted to use this just to get into racing mode again, as its only 2 weeks until Ironman Lanzarote. I am so excited and nervous at the same time!

Thankfully using Vitfor, I am confident I have done enough training to get through it, if anything it will be the heat that might hinder me, but I was hoping to use this event as practise for Kona.

It will be just so nice to be racing again, I have missed it.
